Visit the main library page for DVD rentals etc.
Free to staff and students, this online resource can help with schoolwork by giving you access to:
- Interesting and relevant ‘Articles’
- Reliable and fact-checked ‘Statistics’
- Amazing, true ‘Personal accounts’
- Links to other relevant ‘Websites’
Use the ‘search’ tab to look for what you need. The website is updated regularly and paper copies are available in the school library.
Again, log in directly here, or from home you can link directly at:
Log in here (or find the link in the Favourites menu in lessons) to take the Reading Tests when your teacher has asked you. Please use the Star Reading test unless you’ve been told otherwise.
To take a Quiz (after finishing a book), use the orange Accelerated Reader icon and type in your book title.
To log in, you’ll need your username and password (available from Mrs Noyes in the library or your English teacher). Please write these down in your journal!
Got a favourite author but read all their books? Like Roald Dahl but don’t know who to try next? Use ‘Who Next’ to find up-to-date suggestions of children’s books and writers with similar styles to your favourites, browse the author websites, even find which titles might be available as e-books or audiobooks. Many of these may be available in the school library, and if not – try your local public (free!) library.
For parents and students, you can also log in directly at home:
