Advice and Guidance

Students attending the Academy for post 16 courses will be supported by Academy staff and staff from Chesterfield College. Whilst at the Academy the students will be supported by a tutor who will meet with them each morning in the post 16 centre. The tutor will be the first point of contact for students and parents and will be able to provide a range of support.

In addition students will be supported by subject staff from the Academy and the college who will be able to give advice and guidance on assignments and progression pathways. Students will take part in academic tutorials on the day which they attend the college.

It is expected that students will take part in appropriate work experience throughout their course. The Academy will work with students to find and assess suitable placements.
