Welcome to Year 11

Year group statement
The Student Services department works hard to ensure that every young person at Shirebrook Academy feels safe, is able to enjoy and achieve at school and is happy and healthy. Shirebrook Academy is a truly inclusive school with excellent links to many outside agencies. This enables the Student Services team to put in place high quality support for our young people and their families. We are able to develop relevant pathways for all students to ensure that each young person is able to achieve to the best of his/her ability.

Year group over view
Year 11 currently has 134 students and 6 form groups. The Form tutors and head of Year continually provide support to students to enable each of them to achieve their full potential
The Learning Support Unit is also used to support students.

A variety of sporting activities take place at lunch time run by the PE department
