The Shirebrook Academy Endowment Trust was set up and funded by its sponsor in 2010, the principal activity of the Fund being to advance education for the benefit of Shirebrook. Since its inception it has helped the Academy and local primary schools with various projects, including activities such as the annual Academy Family Fun Day and advancing literacy skills amongst boys.

The fund is now open to receive and consider applications from individuals, who may be students or alumni of the Academy or residents of the local community and from teachers or organisations looking to fund a project. All applications must be in line with the awards criteria.

Funding is limited and for individuals is typically between £200 and £500 and £1,000 to £2,500 for groups or organisations. Applications are considered three times a year in line with the published timetable and applicants are notified within two weeks of the trustees approving the funding. In accepting the award, successful applicants are required to submit an evaluation of the impact of the award by a specified date.

If you any questions regarding eligibility or would like further information regarding the application process please contact Paula Corbett, [email protected]
