Work experience is a key part of Year 10 – a chance to try a career idea, gain skills for your future, or just develop your confidence in working with new people. We ask students to try and find their own placements – this is to give you experience of contacting employers. However lots of help is available if you need it, just see Natalie Langrick.

  • Use the Journal for tips on how to contact employers – including a letter you can adapt
  • Use the Sectors lists to identify employers (these lists are of employers we have used regularly in recent years, however you can contact any business and we can arrange health and safety checks)
  • When you have found a placement – complete the Blue form including parent consent, and return it to student reception.
